May, 1979 Born in California, raised in Michigan.
Andrew W.K. began taking classical piano lessons at age four.
Encouraged by his parents, he continued to play piano and eventually
took up the drums in his teens, playing in numerous Detroit
punk and metal bands, including the Pterodactyls.
At 17, he began recording solo material and moved to New York
City a year later. |

Andrew
W.K. plays dozens of shows up and down the East Coast, equipped
only with a CD player, keyboard and microphone. |
| 2000 |
|
His
friends passes his demos on to various labels, including Bulb,
who releases W.K.'s debut EP Girls Own Juice in early 2000 and
that fall's Party Til You Puke EP. |
| 2001
|
|
More
one-man shows follows, including two support slots for Foo Fighters
and a Belgian arts festival, before he returns to New York to
focus on forming a band.
The members are; Guitarist Jimmy Coup, formerly of Minnesota's
Coup de Grace; drummer Donald "D.T." Tardy, late of Obituary;
bassist Gregg R.; and guitarists E. Payne and Sergeant Frank.
The crew moves to Florida, and Andrew W.K. signs to Island Records.
His debut album, I Get Wet, is truly a country-wide effort--it
is recorded in Michigan, Los Angeles, New York City, Colorado,
Minnesota and Florida in 2001.
Mercury UK releases the "Party Hard" single in October, which
enters the British charts at #14 as Andrew W.K. plays a series
of sold-out shows and appears on the covers of both NME--twice--and
Kerrang. |

2002

At
the start of 2002, Andrew W.K. returns to the UK and tour the
European continent.
28th February, I Get Wet is released in Japan. |
| MARCH |
Andrew
W.K. comes to Japan for promotion of the debut album. He appears
on many TV and radio programs.
26th March, I Get Wet is released in the U.S.
Andrew W.K. starts US tour. |

He

and Andrew W.K. himself is also unharmed.

The Guitarist, Erik Payne leaves the band.
John Sutton, guitarist of Pain Principle, is welcomed as a new
